We do not operate a drop-in clinic.
Please make an appointment to see the doctor or the nurse. Call reception on (03) 381 8048 to book an appointment.
General appointment information
Standard appointments are scheduled for 15 minutes for both doctors and nurses. It is usually only possible to deal with one problem in that time. If you think you will need longer, please book a longer appointment which may incur an extra fee.
In the post COVID lockdown environment we are able to offer phone appointments with Doctors if needed. Our standard fee applies. Please talk to reception if you are interested in this.
It is very helpful if you can tell our reception team whether your appointment is for a particular need such as ACC, insurance medicals, contraception etc so they can be fitted in appropriately.
Because our doctors only work part-time, it may not always be possible to see the same doctor on each visit. However, if you book in advance you can usually choose who you would like to see. To find out which days our doctors work, see Our Team > Doctors.
Appointments for long-term medical problems and non-urgent appointments
It is helpful if you could book in advance. There is about a 1-2 week wait for these appointments, however during busy times it can be as long as 4 weeks.
We recommend that if you know you need to see a doctor regularly, try to book in advance so you can see your doctor when you need to. It is a good idea when you are here seeing your doctor that you make your next appointment before you leave.
We only book the first and the last appointments of the day in advance.
Urgent appointments
We run an acute clinic each day. If you need something more urgently, you can call us on the day for an appointment. The reception team will ask you if your situation is urgent or a normal appointment. If it’s urgent a nurse or doctor will ring you back and assess you over the phone. An appointment will be made to see a doctor or nurse depending on your situation. If you have cold or flu like symptoms, you will be asked to remain in your car – please call us again when you arrive in the carpark. There are some busy times when we are fully booked and are unable to see any more patients. In this instance staff may refer you to the 24 Hour Surgery.
Running late / cancelling appointments
Please let us know if you are running late or need to change your appointment. If appointments are not kept without letting us know in reasonable time to re-book them, a fee may be charged. We only have a limited amount of appointments a day so it is important we use any cancellations. If you are very late for your appointment, we may not be able to see you that day.
Chaperone
You are welcome to bring a chaperone or support person with you to your consultation. If you would like a staff member to act as your chaperone during a consultation or procedure, please let reception know at the time of booking your appointment.
